Match Report | Torbay started the match well and created several chances in the first half, often created by an energetic Euan Jones in the Centre of midfield. Duchy got going after about 10 minutes and netted an early goal. Two more goals followed before half time as Torbay struggled to keep possession and cope with the strength and movement of an accomplished Duchy side. The second half saw Torbay concede another 5 goals, but the team fought hard and after a flowing break, Chris Dickson controlled a firm pass from Ben Till with fantastic precision, before hammering in a consolation goal. There won’t be many tougher opponents this season. Duchy fielded the odd first team player who was unable to travel to Dawlish, although next week, Torbay face a Plymouth Marjons side that thrashed Bodmin 8-1 this weekend! |
