Match Report | Plymouth Marjon started the brighter and took both of their early chances to go 2-0 ahead. Torbay got back into the game 15 minutes before half time and applied some good pressure. The breakthrough came via a Biggsy strike from a short corner. At 2-1 down, Torbay believed it was their game and came out in the second half a much better team. The silly mistakes we’re gone and Plymouth Marjon started to struggle against waves of attack from a galvanised Torbay side. The subs rotated well and following another good strike from Biggsy at a short corner, JJ made sure of the equaliser by poking home the ball over the line. Plymouth let their discipline slip and had a succession of cards, which was disappointing as the game was a real thriller. The winner came from Louie Vian, who had caused the Plymouth defence trouble all afternoon, when he flicked a low powerful shot into the bottom left corner. A deserved win and a great show of resillience and togetherness from an improving Torbay side. |
