Match Report | Both teams started well, but it was Truro that looked to pose the early threat in the first 10 minutes. Torbay gradually took a hold of the game, but following a breakaway, Truro scored a goal following a lifted ball into one of the Torbay players. Torbay came close several times, only to Ben thwarted by some inspired goalkeeping and goal-line clearances. The talk at half time was more of the same as the scoreline didn’t reflect the possession and chances that Torbay had had. Torbay dominated the second half and left it late before Captain JJ struck twice in two minutes from penalty corners, to turn the game from potential defeat in to a stunning win. The support from the crowd and the quality of play from Torbay earned a valuable 3 points, lifting the side in to second place in the division. |
