Match Report | A makeshift but able second team travelled to Sidmouth. Les than 10minutes into the game, Torbay struck twice. Once via a pin-point cross from Brett which young Ted Vian tucked neatly into th PE bottom left corner of the Sidmouth goal and again after a strong run from Louie Vian, a simple tap in was dispatched by ever-green Daz Hales, via a Brett Powis pass. things changed quickly as Sidmouth got back in to the game. Helped somewhat from Torbay's inability to clear their own 16 yard hits, Sidmouth soon levelled and then went ahead after some good team play. Sam Street kept the score reasonable at half time with some good stops in the Torbay goal. The second half started well again for Torbay with some good pressure and several penalty’s corners, but it was Sidmouth that got the only goal in the second half from a breakaway. A promising start from all players. A competitive and fun game, where both teams could had scored more goals. |
